Terry Owen is the senior vice president of Florida Hospital, one of America’s largest hospitals. With more than 2,100 beds, the seven-hospital system admits more patients annually than any other hospital in the U.S. and is the largest provider of Medicare services. In his current position, Owen is responsible for managing operations for Ambulatory and System Services. In this role, Owen provides executive leadership in a number of areas including Continuum of Care, Physician Employment Strategies, Leadership Development, Compliance and Legal Services, the Translational Research Institute for Metabolism & Diabetes and CentraCare centers – a chain of 20 urgent care centers.

Owen received his bachelor of science from West Liberty State College. He also received his masters of health administration from Loma Linda University and his Doctor of Jurisprudence from Nashville School of Law. Terry is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and the Tennessee Bar Association. Terry has been with Florida Hospital since 2000. Prior to serving in his current role, he served six years as Chief Operating Officer for the Seminole Division of Adventist Health System, which includes Florida Hospital Altamonte and Apopka. Prior to joining Florida hospital, he was the President and Chief Executive Officer of Emory-Adventist Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia.

Owen is also active in his community. He is on the board of Red Cross Regional Board and the Central Florida Research Park board.
